New York Times best-selling author and Columbia University professor Dr. Christopher Emdin recently released a new book, Rachetdemic: Reimaging Academic Success.

It centers around creating better teaching environments starts with reexamining the norms within them.

Chairperson for the Department of Teacher Education and professor of race, culture, and equity at Michigan State University.


Most recently, her research has focused on black girls’ racialized and gendered experiences in schools and humanizing pedagogy in teacher education.
