This evening of celebration, recognition, and appreciation is for you – the unsung heroes who have helped to reimagine the education system through your consistent flexibility, innovation, and resilience exhibited during and post-pandemic. Your vital role in ensuring the continued success of students – our leaders of tomorrow – has not gone unnoticed, so tonight, we celebrate YOU!

We are humbled by the contributions from sponsors who partnered with us to enhance this evening’s experience. We are also grateful for the kindness and support of our vision to host this culminating affair that acknowledges champions in the education space.

The Black Male Educators Alliance’s commitment to transforming the landscape of education for Black and Brown children would not be possible without the unwavering generosity of our funders. This community of selfless individuals and philanthropic entities has helped us support Black male and female teachers early in their careers and expand the national reach of our fellowships to train and enhance leaders of education in their profession and wellness. The informative programming from the bi-weekly BMEA podcast and our establishment of a pipeline for young Black males to enter the education profession through our K-12 Intergenerational Leadership Development program is financed in part by recurring donations from aligned missioned benefactors.

Words alone will never suffice to express my heartfelt gratitude for your partnership and belief in my vision to enhance the learning experience for every Black and Brown child in school communities across our country. Thank you for entrusting me and my team to serve your children and families. it is truly an honor and privilege.

I hope you enjoy all that this evening has to offer.

Take care,

Yours in Commitment,

Curtis L. Lewis, Ph.D.
