Early Career Teaching Co-Ed Fellowship




BMEA is proud to announce the launch of The Early Career Teaching Fellowship (ECTF Cohort III), an intense co-ed teacher-development program for Black educators early in their careers. Specifically this fellowship is for:
- Educators entering their first year through 5th year of teaching
- Non-certified and long term substitutes who are teacher of record (teachers assigned lead responsibility to instruct students
BMEA aims to develop Black educators through the Liberating Learners Framework (LLF). Subsequently, educators will grow in their capacity to develop authentic relationships, to employ restorative practices, to implement culturally responsive-sustaining teaching practices, and facilitate academically rigorous instruction.
APPLICATION PROCESS
The application window opens on July 29, 2022. Interviews will take place August 8th-12th and candidates will be notified of their selection into ECTF by August 19, 2022.
The application process is conducted in two phases. Phase I consists of the application submission, review and an invitation to a selection interview for potential candidates. Phase II consists of a 30 min zoom interview of potential ECTF candidates. Finally, selected candidates will receive email notified confirming their acceptance into ECTF.
