MARK GREER

Mark is the Co-Executive Director, External Relations at the Transforming Power Fund, a Detroit-based social justice fund committed to transformative systems change. Mark’s brief, but impactful years as an organizer inspired him to pursue a career in philanthropy and corporate social responsibility to challenge funders and companies to shift their strategies and operations to reduce harm and increase resources to grassroots organizing and community-controlled solutions.

He has worked at the JP Morgan Chase Foundation, The Kresge Foundation, and the PwC Charitable Foundation in grantmaking and operations roles. Most recently, Mark served as a Fellow with CEO Action for Racial Equity, a coalition of companies seeking to address systemic racism, social injustice and improve societal wellbeing.

Mark is a graduate of the University of Michigan with a B.A. in Political Science and Afro-American and African Studies and has a Master of Business Administration from Wayne State University Mike Ilitch School of Business. He is also a Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy and a 21/64 Certified Advisor. Mark is a native Detroiter, a musician, and a frequent moviegoer. Mark enjoys exploring parks with his wife Jamesa and their daughter Nia.
