Marcia Spivey, Esq.

Attorney Marcia D. Spivey is a native of Detroit. Attorney Spivey attended Michigan State University where she received her Bachelor Degree in Criminal Justice with an emphasis in Juvenile Justice. During her tenure at MSU she served as a mentor and tutor for adjudicated youth. During her law school tenure Attorney Spivey continued her efforts to improve and support the public education system. She worked as a substitute teacher; coached both debate and Michigan Youth in Government teams, and was the founding program director for the Capital Area College Access Network. Attorney Spivey also provides legal instruction and mock-trial training to high schools that are a part of the Neighborhood Legal Services educational program. Attorney Spivey knows the importance of strong educational networks that will identify, foster and train up innovative and courageous black male educators and allies who will ensure that both the black male student, and teacher, are thoroughly supported and positioned for post-secondary success.
